Masterpiece Graphix (MGX) has announced that it will launch a West Coast distribution center in the third quarter of the 2011 fiscal year. Expected to open by August 1, the new 130,000-square-foot facility in San Leandro, California, will be designed to provide users of HP Indigo, Kodak Nexpress, Xerox iGen, Xeikon, EFI Jetrion, RapidX. and other digital presses with rapid access to MGX digital-ready stocks.

Seiko Infotech has introduced the ColorPainter W-64s and W-54s low-solvent printers, capable of handling 64- and 54-in.-wide media, respectively. Both printers are available in 4- or 6-color (CMYKcm) configuration, offer top resolution of 900 dpi, and can utilize Seiko GX low-solvent ink or the new Seiko IX inks, which are free of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). The W-64s can hit a top speed of 191 sq ft/hr in Production mode, while the W-54s can reach 182 sq ft/hr.
3M Commercial Graphics has launched a new Carbon Fiber White for its Scotchprint Wrap Film Series 1080. Like the other films in the 1080 series, the new Carbon Fiber White is a pressure-sensitive, long-term, removable cast film designed for solid color vehicle detailing, decoration, and full wraps. Available in 60-in.-wide rolls.
OKI Data Americas has announced the addition of the pro920WHT printer to its OKI proColor Series for color-critical applications in graphic-arts and production environments. The pro920WHT is a tabloid/A3 digital color printer that adds white toner, allowing for direct imaging to dark or colored media, signage, and films. Users can print white first as an undercoating on colored paper and signage, or print white last as an overcoat on transparent and image transfer media.
