ElevenTen Color has added an S-1151 Series of low-solvent inks for Seiko ColorPainter printers. According to ElevenTen, the inks offer plug-and-play conversion process, an equipment and application warranty, and an OEM color gamut match so there’s no need for new profiles.

The X-Press F512 from Chin.E Technologies is a 4 x 8-ft flatbed UV inkjet printer that is paired with the company’s X-Press CNC router. The company is billing the bundled system as a “$100,000 print-and-cut system.” The X-Press printer features six or eight Konica 512M printheads that deliver a 14-pl droplet size and print resolutions up to 1440 x 720 dpi. Both the 6- and 8-color systems print CMYKLcLm, and the 8-color unit also is capable of printing CMYK x 2 or CMYK + white or spot colors. The 8-color printer can output up to 450 sq ft/hr in production mode.

Collins Ink Corporation has acquired Hexion Specialty Chemicals Inc.’s UV Curable Inkjet and Optical disc-coating business. The acquisition includes intellectual property, laboratory and manufacturing assets and as well as key personnel associated with Hexion’s UV curables inkjet business.
Cincinnati, Ohio-based Collins Ink is in its 19th year of formulating, manufacturing and selling inkjet inks.
