TrueVis VG2 offered in 54- and 64-in. models.
Roland DGA has announced its TrueVis VG2 series of eco-solvent printer/cutters. The 54- and 64-in. printer/cutters use new TR2 ink for increased color gamut and control in three configurations with CMYK, plus light cyan, light magenta, light black, white, or new orange. Features include Multiprocess Color Function for using orange ink as a process color and True Rich Color preset to combine vibrant color with neutral grays, smooth gradations, and natural skin tones. TR2 inks have certifications through 3M MCS, Avery Dennison ICS, and Greenguard Gold.
Improvements boost printing and cutting accuracy and reliability during unattended operation, the company reports. Stability enhancements include middle pinch rollers that automatically raise prior to cutting, added crop mark options for cutting laminated printed materials, and TU-4 take-up unit with two modes for different media types. Included VersaWorks 6 RIP software has Harlequin dual-core engine with PDF 2.0 and native 64-bit processing, and an icon-based interface with drag-and-drop functions.
