Isis Imaging Analyzes Image Quality Workflows

Evaluates color accuracy of digital presses and print workflows

Big Picture

Isis Imaging Corp. has developed a series of test forms that can be used to verify the image quality capabilities of digital-printing and direct-to-plate workflows. The PDF/X-3, ICC-color -compliant test forms can be used with all types of digital print reproduction, including direct-imaging presses, toner-based printers, inkjet proofers, and traditional flexo and offset presses. The forms can evaluate workflow systems from Agfa, Creo, Global Graphics, Heidelberg, EFI, and Xerox.

After the test forms are output on the workflow systems and presses at the client's site, the forms are sent to Isis Imaging, which creates a personalized analysis that identifies color-reproduction problems and recommends practical solutions.

According to color-scientist Stephen Herron of Isis Imaging, the service avoids the expense of hiring on-site color-management consultants and enables users to implement new procedures at a pace most conducive to their own schedules. (Isis Imaging: www.isisimaging.com)
