Roland Debuts SolJet XF-640
The 64-in. printer can hit a top speed of 1098 sq ft/hr.
Roland’s new SolJet XF-640 printer is built for busy production environments, the company reports. The 64-in. printer, which sports a vibrant red cowl, can hit a top speed of 1098 sq ft/hr. It incorporates two mirrored printheads with a dual CMYK inkset, Roland’s wide-gamut Eco-Sol Max 2 inks (440-cc ink cartridges), newly designed takeup and pinch roller systems for long, unattended production runs, and a new Tri-Heater system comprising a pre-heater, print heater, and dryer. Top resolution is 1440 dpi.
Other features include: Roland Intelligent Pass Control for precise dot placement; a new three-part wiper system for reducing buildup around the edges of the printhead; VersaWorks 4.9 RIP software (including built-in Pantone spot libraries and a Predictive Ink Calculator); front-loading ink cartridge slots; and more.
Applications range from indoor and outdoor banners, vehicle and fleet wraps, to window graphics, posters, P-O-P, tradeshow graphics, and backlit displays.
List price on the XF-640 is $35,495.
